Description

Western St. Louis County was originally inhabited by Native American Indians who buried their ancestors in mounds. The first Anglo settlers arrived by the 1790s, settling along major waterways. There were no formal cemeteries and most family burials took place on the farm. Today, there are over 100 known private burial sites within the newly formed City of Wildwood, Missouri. At Rest in Wildwood offers an excellent resource for residents as well as researchers wanting to learn more.
